
Neck pain is typically caused by spinal misalignments in the cervical and thoracic spine. The pain may be shooting, sharp or a constant dull ache.
Common causes for neck pain:
- Cervical disc bulge;
- Cervical facet sprain;
- Torticollis; and/or
- Postural issues.
Early signs
- Neck muscles feel tight;
- Pain when laying in bed;
- Pain with movement of the neck; and/or
- Often associated with headaches.
More severe cases may have
- Pain referring down one or both arms;
- A feeling of pins and needles down either one or both arms;
- Nausea, vomiting and dizziness; and/or
- Debilitating pain when moving your neck.
